In 2024, an FBI official admitted to House investigators that an FBI employee had inadvertently confirmed the authenticity of Hunter Biden’s laptop to Twitter on a conference call the morning of October 14, 2020, the day the New York Post published a story about it.
“I recall that when the question came up, an intelligence analyst assigned to the Criminal Investigative Division said something to the effect of, ‘Yes, the laptop is real’,” testified the then-Russia Unit Chief of the FBI’s Foreign Influence Task Force in a closed door transcribed interview.
“I believe it was an (Office of General Counsel) attorney assigned to the (Foreign Influence Task Force) stepped in and saiTwid, ‘We will not comment further on this topic.’”
For the first time, and with a change of administration, the FBI has now turned over to GOP House investigators the internal chat messages that show Bureau leadership actively silenced its employees.
The FBI, which had a special task force to counter foreign election interference, could have set the record straight by confirming the laptop was real and the subject of an ongoing criminal probe. Instead, FBI leadership allowed the false narrative about the laptop to gain momentum.
The FBI provided the chat messages to congressional investigators with heavy redactions.
Some of the redactions on the chats are marked “OGC AGC,” which appears to mean that they were made by the FBI’s Office of General Counsel and Associate General Counsel.
An individual whose name is blacked out, tells Elvis M. Chan, the San Francisco-based FBI special agent tasked with interacting with social media companies, there was a “gag order” on discussion of Hunter Biden’s laptop. In a separate exchange, Chan is told “official response no commen(t).”

Democrats have become the college indoctrinated, institutionalized, and government dependent HIGH PROP party. They live for politics. It is their religion.
You may hate Donald Trump, but he resurrected a dead GOP back to life.
Voters who weren’t on anyone’s data rolls came out of the woodwork to vote for Donald Trump.
Our movement must begin to fully fund the infrastructure to match the Democrat machine.
Our ideas are better. They’re actually popular. But we need to match like for like. We need to out organize Democrats. We need to match their fundraising advantage.
Let Wisconsin be a wakeup call. Let it be a call to return to the frontlines. We won in November, but to save the Republican we must string together multiple victories and that starts in 2026.

Polls show that voter ID laws enjoy broad bipartisan support, with a Pew Research survey conducted in January finding that 81 percent of voters agree with a requirement that all voters should show government-issued identification to cast ballots.
Wisconsin voters also strongly support voter ID laws, according to polls in recent years. A 2021 survey by the Marquette University Law School showed that 92 percent of Republicans and 55 percent of Democrats favored requiring photo ID to vote.

Two Trump-backed Republicans won special congressional elections in Florida on Tuesday, according to The Associated Press, shoring up their party’s slim majority in the House at a crucial moment for President Trump’s domestic agenda.
Jimmy Patronis, the state’s chief financial officer, won the race to replace Matt Gaetz in the First Congressional District, on the western end of the Panhandle.
And State Senator Randy Fine captured the Sixth District seat that had been held by Michael Waltz, now Mr. Trump’s national security adviser. That district is rooted in Daytona Beach and parts of the northeast coast.

Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy asked White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt on Tuesday whether the administration can be certain that they are not “wrong” about the upcoming tariffs.
President Donald Trump has dubbed April 2 as “Liberation Day,” on which he intends to impose additional tariffs to make the U.S. less dependent on foreign goods. While the president met with his trade and tariff team, Doocy asked the press secretary if the administration can be confident that the tariffs will benefit Americans.
“And you said that the president is, right now, is with the trade and tariff team. They are very confident that this is all going to work. But what if they’re wrong?” Doocy asked.
“They’re not going to be wrong, they are going to work,” Leavitt said. “And the president has a brilliant team of advisers who have been studying these issues for decades and we are focused on restoring the golden age of America and making America a manufacturing superpower.”

[O]ther nations declared a trade war on America decades ago, and our leaders never fought back. As I wrote for Fox News two weeks ago, Trump is implementing reciprocal tariffs to force other nations to reduce their trade barriers and end a trade war that already exists.
Some of the tariff rates to be announced Wednesday will be eye-opening to many folks, since the extent to which other nations block our exports has been largely hidden from view. Even nations that are supposedly our friends, like Canada, impose tariffs and non-tariff barriers that are nearly the equivalent of a 300 percent tax in certain instances.
Shockingly, some of our exporters have better access to Russian markets than Canadian ones!
Whether friend or foe, most nations cannot afford to lose access to the American consumer and will be forced to give in eventually. It’s just a question of how soon before they realize that Trump holds all the cards.
REUTERS: USTR releases trade barriers report ahead of Trump’s reciprocal tariffs
WASHINGTON, March 31 (Reuters) – U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration released an encyclopedic list of foreign countries’ policies and regulations it regards as trade barriers on Monday, two days before he proposed hitting global trading partners with reciprocal tariffs.
The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative’s annual National Trade Estimate Report on foreign trade barriers lists average applied tariff rates for trading partner countries and non-tariff barriers ranging from onerous food safety regulations to renewable energy requirements and public procurement rules.

The staffer, whose name is Kevin A. Batts, is listed on Legistorm as being a special assistant for the New Jersey senator. Police said he was arrested at the Capitol on Monday after failing to go through security.
“Yesterday afternoon a Member of Congress led an IDed staff member around security screening at the Hart Senate Office Building,” Capitol Police said in a statement on Tuesday. “Later that evening, outside the Senate Galleries, the IDed staff member — who is a retired law enforcement officer — told our officers he was armed.”

The Trump administration acknowledged in a court filing Monday that it had grabbed a Maryland father with protected legal status and mistakenly deported him to El Salvador, but said that U.S. courts lack jurisdiction to order his return from the megaprison where he’s now locked up.
The case appears to be the first time the Trump administration has admitted to errors when it sent three planeloads of Salvadoran and Venezuelan deportees to El Salvador’s grim “Terrorism Confinement Center” on March 15. Attorneys for several Venezuelan deportees have said that the Trump administration falsely labeled their clients as gang members because of their tattoos. Trump officials have disputed those claims.
