Elon Musk was every inch the doting dad as he arrived at Capitol Hill with his lookalike son on his shoulders.

The billionaire Tesla founder, 53, who was recently selected by President Elect Donald Trump to run the Department of Government Efficiency, headed to the Capitol building in Washington, D.C., to meet with Senate Majority Leader John Thune on Thursday morning.

And the mogul made it a family affair, as he had his four-year-old son X Æ A-12, or 'X' for short, with him.

Elon, dressed in a suit, was pictured arriving at the meeting with the youngster sitting on his shoulders.

Little X looked dapper for the event, donning dress pants, a gray sweater, and a sports jacket. The toddler kept his brown locks spiked up in a mohawk-like hairstyle.

The resemblance between the father-and-son duo was certainly apparent as they walked into the meeting together.

Afterwards, X was seen holding tightly onto his dad's hand as he made his way through a crowd of reporters and photographers.

In his other hand, he held a small orange basketball. In certain shots, the father-son duo could be seen making the same facial expressions, scrunching up their faces.

Loving dad Elon smiled adoringly at his son as they exited the building together.

Elon, who has 12 kids from three different women, welcomed X in May 2020 with his ex-girlfriend Grimes.

This isn't the first time that the SpaceX CEO has brought his son to a political event, as he was by his side at Donald Trump's Election Night celebration at Mar-a-Lago last month.

It looked like the toddler had a great time as he partied alongside a slew of celebrities and political figures, munched on some yummy treats, and spent quality time with his famous father.

The youngster was also with Elon when he attended the GOP nominee's rally one week prior.

The youngster wore a customized red MAGA hat to the five-hour event, which read: 'Make voting great again.'

He was spotted holding up a Trump/Vance sign and chatting with incoming First Lady Melania Trump throughout the evening.

After he got elected, Donald tapped Elon and Vivek Ramaswamy to 'dismantle' the $6.5 trillion bloated U.S. bureaucracy by heading the newly created Department of Government Efficiency.

Top Republican Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, is leading DOGE's aggressive plans on a new 'DOGE Caucus' being set up in the Senate.

Ernst's first DOGE-related bill exclusively obtained by DailyMail.com, the REMOTE Act, will use software to monitor bureaucrats' computer use and require agency reports on the adverse impacts of telework.
