Lee Carsley has revealed the final squad of his interim tenure as England men's manager ahead of November's Nations League fixtures.

The former England under-21 head coach has had a mixed run at the helm of the senior side, but will soon hand over to Thomas Tuchel. After consecutive 2-0 victories over the Republic of Ireland and Finland in September, Carsley named an eccentric lineup which fell to a Wembley defeat against Greece.

The Three Lions recovered to defeat Finland in Helsinki but will need maximum points to guarantee promotion back to the top tier of the UEFA Nations League when they take on Greece in Athens and Ireland at Wembley next week.

Manchester City's John Stones didn't make the squad, with his role in the middle of defence filled by Southampton's Taylor Harwood-Bellis.

Carsley left out Aston Villa's prodigious playmaker Morgan Rogers once again. The 22-year-old has started all 14 games for Unai Emery's side in the Premier League and Champions League.

Manchester United's Kobbie Mainoo and Luke Shaw remain sidelined with injury, with the latter leaving England short of a natural left-back. Newcastle's Lewis Hall earned a call-up to a roster which is very similar to October's setup.

This is Carsley's final squad before Thomas Tuchel takes charge from January onwards. If the current roster fails to get the requisite results and finishes second in the Nations League table, Tuchel will have to navigate a two-legged play-off against a third-place nation from League A in March.

These fixtures will push back the start of England's qualification campaign for the 2026 World Cup.
