Eric Adams indictment: NYC mayor says he became a ‘target’ for opposing Harris-Biden policies, ‘If I’m charged…’

Eric Adams has broken his silence after being indicted following a federal corruption investigation. In a video message, the New York City Mayor insisted that he has been targeted for speaking against the Harris-Biden administration on migrants flooding the city.

“I will fight these injustices with every ounce of my strength and my spirit. If I’m charged, I know I am innocent,” Adams said in the video.

Adams added, “That fight has continued as your mayor. … when the federal government did nothing as its broken immigration policies overloaded our shelter system with no relief, I put the people of New York before party and politics.”

According to the Big Apple’s own online asylum-seeker funding tracker, the migrant crisis has cost the city over $5 billion. New York City has reportedly spent a whopping amount on services for migrants, including housing them. Adams’ administration previously projected that the cost could rise to $10 billion over the three-year period that will end on June 30, 2025.

‘I always knew that if I stood my ground for New Yorkers that I would be a target’

Adams told New York Post in a statement that he “always knew” he would be targeted. “I always knew that if I stood my ground for New Yorkers that I would be a target — and a target I became,” he said.

Adams added that he would not leave office even if he faces criminal charges. He also criticised the federal government for its “broken” immigration system. “I put the people of New York before party and politics. Now, if I am charged, many may say I should resign because I cannot manage the city while fighting the case,” he said.

“But I have been facing these lies for months since I began to speak out for all of you and their investigations started yet the city has continued to improve,” Adams added. “Make no mistake — you elected me to lead this city and lead it, I will.”

A grand jury reportedly indicted Adams on charges tied to a federal probe. On September 4, several raids targeted various Adams administration officials.

If you didn’t follow the election, Adams ran to the right (for New York). He ran as an ex-cop on a law & order platform, and not as extreme as his opponent, who was very much a far progressive.

Heard a summary of some charges.

They said a 30 some story building built in NYC by Turkey bypassed the fire safety regulations and inspection on orders from Adams after he got his bribe money.

That is a serious and selfish thing even for a politician.
That’s saying something.

“President Trump says welcome to the party pal.”

Trump is not a corrupt DEI official.

Not every prosecution in NYC is valid.

You think Adams is a DEI official? He was elected, and he was facing an extreme progressive lady.

To: nickcarraway

Adams is also a racist but this situation is good for President Trump- his campaign can feed off of this.

I still think NY is going to be almost impossible to win but highly populated Long Island is starting to turn bright red and Adams situation could help DJT make inroads in the black neighborhoods of the four boroughs.

Personally, I think the problem that the (mostly White) Biden Administration has with Adams is that he’s BLACK, and Democrats hate blacks, which is why they created the KKK.

He failed to mention his borough presidency corruption.

I still think his persecution by government lawfare can attract black votes. And to have others stay home even if they still hate Trump.

Months before Biden dropped out there was a black superstation I used to listen to (unlike anyone I know I have always gathered information from all sources like Robert Redford in Three Days of the Condor.) The station was taken off the air in a dispute, by the way.
Many callers said: “I just don’t like Biden.” The hosts always said: “But would you then vote for Trump?” Every single one said “no” but they would stay home this time.

I suspect the mayor know a a lot about corruption within the NY legal system, the Biden administration and DNC. He should keep his pesonal security tight.

I support Adams.

He’s no more corrupt than the rest of them, he was just singled out.

Yep! How do you think such an imbecile became police chief. Certainly wasn’t elected.

The key is for Trump to get votes from people who don’t necessarily like him.

I don’t like the man but if i was on the jury I’d vote him innocent...because the bastards charging the man are tainted with the history of the False Russian Hoax and other distortions of the law. I would not know who I could truly believe!

The movers and shakers in DC have gotten rich money lausering taxpayers money disguised as aid thru the Ukraine, Haiti and other foreign hell holes.

What’s a little kickback for helping the Turks add on to their embassy properties in NYC? (I’m being sarcastic of course but given “what the big guy” does...I can can hardly fault Adams)
