Scary Island Pt. 2?
“Real Housewives of New York City” billionaire Erika Hammond called out Erin Lichy for describing her luxurious private island estate as a “rental home” at Page Six’s 2026 “Virtual Reali-Tea” Awards, sponsored by Tri-State Cadillac, CoverGirl, Philo and Kahlúa.
“I mean, you see the footage. I don’t need to defend what it is,” Hammond, 35, told “VRT” co-hosts Danny Murphy and Evan Real on Thursday. “If you don’t like it, you’re not welcome back anyway.”
Want to watch from home? Philo is the exclusive streaming partner for the 2026 VRT Awards, and the only place you’ll find the full show this year. The best part? It’s free to watch on Philo’s ad-supported platform starting Oct. 9. Plus, you can catch up on last year’s awards now on Philo.com/VRTs.
During Tuesday night’s episode of “RHONY,” the cast jetted out to Hammond’s Moskito Island estate in the British Virgin Islands, where Lichy and Daisy Toye were caught bad-mouthing their accomodations.
Toye said she was “not impressed” by the mansion, stating that her boss and friend, Martha Stewart, would think it was a “dump.” Lichy agreed with her co-star’s sentiments.
“After seeing that scene, it was really tough,” Hammond told us. “It was really hard, and I think [Lichy] apologized. She actually sent me a text recently and apologized, right after the show came out.”
At the VRT Awards on Tuesday night, Lichy said it was a “gorgeous island,” explaining that she was simply “pissed” at Hammond for putting her on a pull-out couch.
However, she also described the estate as a “rental home,” and while she insisted she didn’t “mean it in a negative way,” Hammond certainly seemed to take offense, especially since Lichy had just apologized.
“That is a fake apology,” Hammond said following the awards. “I don’t like fake apologies.”
Originally bought by Richard Branson, Moskito Island is now owned by nine families, including Hammond and her husband, Ankur Jain, and his family.
Hammond explained during the latest episode of “RHONY” that each family owns “estates on the island.”
“We all pay for the island, so we all have a share,” she said. “We all share the beach, we all share the tennis courts, we all pay for, like, ‘HOAs’ of the island.”
“The Real Housewives of New York City” airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo, with new episodes available to stream the next day on Peacock.
