Pokemon fans looking to enjoy a spoiler-free Legends Z-A adventure may want to be selective with their social media browsing – the internet is awash with unverified leaks.
Since Game Freak’s long-awaited gameplay trailer for the 2025 spinoff released back in February, reputable insiders have made increasingly wild claims, including that Z-A supposedly won’t feature any new Pokemon species.
True or not, what we do know is that Mega Evolution is making a massive comeback in the follow-up to Legends Arceus, with numerous new Megas expected to debut alongside those introduced in previous Generations.
To reiterate, Game Freak has yet to officially reveal a single new Mega Evolution. The list of rumored Mega Evolutions is an amalgamation of those independently corroborated by multiple sources – many of whom have provided accurate leaks for previous Pokemon games – to be included by multiple leakers. You can see the full list below:
- Meganium

Existing Mega Evolutions have been confirmed for Pokemon Legends Z-A.
If the purported total of 27 new Megas and the above are accurate, this leaves one sole unknown Pokemon to receive Mega Evolution in Z-A Legends. Considering the endless fan campaigns for Gen 3’s Flygon to get the Mega treatment, the Ground/Dragon-type could still be in with a chance for a power boost.
Regardless of its authenticity, though, there’s an excellent spread of Generational representation here, especially for Gen V. Currently, Black & White’s Audino is the only Unova Region native with access to the temporary transformation.
We’ll update this article with any further credible leaks and official reveals as and when they surface. Until then, check out all of the Pokemon confirmed to be returning in Z-A when it releases in fall 2025.
