Following Sony’s PlayStation State of Play that aired on June 2, Xbox is showing its hand at its big annual showcase as part of Summer Game Fest, revealing what’s next for the rest of 2026 and beyond.

We’re updating this page live as every announcement drops, including trailers for every game, all in one place.

See the full list below.

Gears of War: E-Day

The Coalition and People Can Fly put a younger Marcus Fenix sporting jeans and a leather jacket, fighting Locust through the crumbling streets of an urban warzone on Emergence Day.

The combat looks more fluid than anything in the series before it. Marcus slides into cover, goes nearly prone behind a small ledge, and scales obstacles in ways the original trilogy never allowed, at one point hopping across a row of fridges to reach higher ground.

As a prequel set before Marcus ever put on COG armor, E-Day is clearly using that freedom to reimagine what Gears can be. It launches exclusively on Xbox on October 6, 2026.

Fable

Playground Games’ long-awaited Fable reboot finally has a release date. The fantasy RPG set in the world of Albion launches February 23, 2027 on Xbox Series X/S, Steam and PS5.

Halo: Campaign Evolved

Halo Studios remakes the iconic original in Unreal Engine 5, bringing updated visuals and gameplay elements from newer entries in the series including sprinting and different enemies.

The game that defined a generation of first-person shooters gets the full modern treatment, while keeping the bones of what made it a classic. Halo: Campaign Evolved launches July 28, 2026 on Xbox Series X/S, Steam and PS5.

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy

Asobo Studio, the team behind the first two Plague Tale games, returns with Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy. Sophia’s journey takes center stage as she faces deadly trials, treacherous paths and secrets that were never meant to be uncovered.

Set 15 years before the events of the original game, it launches August 27, 2026 on Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC, and is available day one on Xbox Game Pass.

Persona 4 Revival

Atlus finally puts a release date on Persona 4 Revival, the full remake of the beloved 2008 JRPG. Yu Narukami returns to Inaba with a complete visual and mechanical overhaul bringing it in line with Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Royal.

It launches February 18, 2027 on Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC, available day one on Xbox Game Pass and as an Xbox Play Anywhere title.

State of Decay 3

Six years in the making, Undead Labs finally gives State of Decay 3 its proper moment. Built in Unreal Engine 5, the zombie survival series takes a clear step up in ambition and polish, with a four-player co-op experience centered around a cast of survivors fighting to reclaim a world overrun by the undead.

Players build and manage a community of survivalist homesteaders, with every decision carrying permanent consequences. Lose a community member and they are gone for good, along with everything they knew.

State of Decay 3 comes to Xbox Series X/S and Xbox on PC as an Xbox Play Anywhere title, available day one on Xbox Game Pass. It launches in 2027.

Sea of Thieves Season 20: Custom Seas

Rare hands the keys over to the community with Season 20. Custom Seas gives every player the tools to build their own Sea of Thieves experience, completely free, with no subscription required.

That means creature spawning, fast travel, scoreboards and admin tools to build your own competitive game modes from scratch, plus a free camera mode for capturing the perfect screenshot or cinematic moment.

Season 20 drops June 18, 2026.

Metro 2039

4A Games returns to the dark tunnels of post-apocalyptic Moscow with Metro 2039, the most ambitious entry in the series yet. The nearly three-minute first gameplay trailer is captured entirely in-game, blending first-person shots with custom camera angles to show the world has only gotten worse.

The trailer introduces the Fuhrer Hunter, a figure who has used lies and propaganda to seize power, and the new playable character Stranger, who fights back against the authoritarian Novoreich movement. The trademark Metro mix of immersion, survival, stealth, violence and horror is all present, alongside new weapons including the Shatun, new mutant variants and new ways to interact with the environment.

Metro 2039 launches February 2027 on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox on PC and PS5 as an Xbox Play Anywhere title.

Bad Magpie

One wing, a missing flock, and an unhealthy obsession with a fallen star. Bad Magpie puts you in the talons of a chaotic bird with a knack for causing trouble, stealing shiny trinkets and sticking its beak where it absolutely does not belong.

From fireworks and flowers to megaphones and mayhem, the trailer makes it clear this is not your average bird game.

Bad Magpie comes to Xbox Series X/S and Xbox on PC as an Xbox Play Anywhere title, available day one on Xbox Game Pass. It launches in 2027.
