Black Ops 6 players have hit out at “useless” perks that had been must-use at times in-game, noting that a lot of options are just flat-out “broken.’
When Black Ops 6 launched back in November 2024, it was met with pretty widespread acclaim from players. The single-player campaign was fun, Zombies was a step up from the past, and the only issues with multiplayer revolved around the maps.
A few months on, though, and things have taken a bit of a turn on the multiplayer side. Players have routinely complained about hackers getting through, the devs putting more of a focus on skins than the game’s health, and those maps are still an issue.
On top of that, players have also been complaining about killstreaks and perks being broken – and not in a good way.
Perks are broken in Black Ops 6
Tac Mask, which is a long-standing perk in COD, has been labeled as “useless” by a handful of players. “It doesn’t help in any sense cause I still can’t run or attack so it is just useless,” Redditor Lost_Emphasis_1486 complained. “Tac Mask is absolutely abysmal in this game,” one player agreed.
Others pointed out that Tac Mask isn’t the only one that seems a little busted. “Bruiser doesn’t seem to be working either,” one said. “Idk what happened but flak jacket feels nerfed too,” another added.
“Forward intel doesn’t work half of the time either. Perks are broken right now,” another replied.
Some players argued that Tac Mask is being used incorrectly by a lot of players, adding that a lot of them are running the perk alongside Shadow, Flak Jacket, and Double Time with the Perk Greed wildcard.
As for those ones that are considered “broken” right now, the Season 3 update has been delayed until the start of April. So, any sweeping changes would have to come then. Which, is a long wait for most.
