A Ferrari F40 with an estimated value of around $2.5 million has crashed in the UK (watch the crash video here). According to initial reports, a service technician was driving the car before wrecking it on the A5 at Markyate.
Images shared on social media reveal a severely damaged F40, registered as ‘F40PRX,’ lying on its side with its front clamshell completely ripped off. It appears that the driver lost control and hit a light pole before coming to rest on the side of the road. This is just speculation, as the exact details of the crash are still unclear.
The condition of the driver is unknown at this point in time. We also don’t know if there was a passenger in the car at the time of the crash.
The Ferrari F40 is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 471 hp and 426 lb-ft of torque. The engine is bolted to a 5-speed manual transmission.

The driver appears qualified to fly Blackhawks at night at DCA airport.

Service tech, he’s probably fired for this if he lives.
As he should be, he just cost his employer a lot of money.

I have seen a shop keep someone after totalling a customer vehicle.
But that’s NY state, so I know it’s not typical.
