Singer/songwriter Jon Kahn of Breitbart News, who’s behind the #1 hit Trump tribute song “Fighter,” shared he is “leaning into faith” after losing his home in the ongoing Palisades fire in Los Angeles, California. Kahn, who appeared on Fox & Friends last week, shared that he witnessed his house go up in flames using his Ring camera app after he fled the fire zone.

In a post on X Sunday night, Kahn shared that the only “recognizable” item from the rubble from his home was a pitcher imprinted with the American flag, which he described as “semi-intact.”

“Jon, I’m so sorry for your loss,” Ainsley Earhardt said after displaying the before and after images of Kahn’s home to viewers. “It’s devastating to see what it was before and what it is now. I know that your mom lost her house, your brother lives a mile down the road from you, and he lost his house. How are you doing, and what do you do next?”

Actually, my brother’s house was spared — we just learned that yesterday,” Kahn, who was born and raised in Pacific Palisades, said. “The entire opposite side of the street from where he lived burned, and his house was spared. My mom’s house… we’re not quite sure what’s happening with that yet.”

“As far as what I do next, you know, you get back on your feet,” the singer continued. “There is nothing you can do about it. I’ve been leaning into faith these days, and I think I’m going to rely on that and lean on the support of all the love from all my friends, family, and even people I don’t know that have reached out. It’s been incredibly moving, the outpouring.”

Earhardt told Kahn that she learned about his home loss after his brother shared a photo of the “essentials” Kahn took with him when he fled the fire: his guitars and his MAGA hats, Breitbart News reported.

“Why were those two things most important to you?” she asked him.

“My dog was number one,” Kahn explained. “But a lot of people who do know me on social media were reaching out and asking if I was okay and safe, and I wrote a song called ‘Fighter’ recently for President Trump, and it was such a big part of my life the last few months that I wanted to let the people know on social media that know me from that song that I’m going to keep writing music. I’m going to get up just like the song says. And I’ve a lot of work to do personally, but we still have a lot of work to do as a country as well.”

Kahn wrote the song “Fighter” in tribute to President-elect Donald Trump following the assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, last July. The single would go on to become a smash hit, surpassing 10 million views across social media within three days of its release.

Fighter” also became the #1 song on the Billboard Digital Sales Charts, topping the iTunes Download Charts for six straight days and making Kahn Billboard’s #1 Emerging Artist.

The song’s uplifting message deals with overcoming adversity and has since been played regularly at Trump’s rallies, including when Trump made his historic return rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, following the assassination.

Trump, who called the tribute song  “[s]uch an unexpected honor,” shared Kahn’s song in a post on Truth Social and in a post on Instagram.
