A fire broke out at Walt Disney World’s EPCOT park on Saturday, forcing visitors to evacuate from the “Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure” ride, according to reports.
Dark black smoke rose from the attraction in the France Pavilion of the Orlando theme park, as the structure fire broke out just after 7 p.m. Saturday, according to Fox35 Orlando.
Disney officials said park-goers were safely evacuated from the relatively new mouse-themed ride, where the fire started in the backstage area, the report stated.
“Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure” is a “4D ride experience” where revelers “join Chef Remy on a daring culinary caper,” through a Parisian kitchen, dining room, and restaurant, according to the mouse house.
Videos circulating on social media show a dark plume rise above the idyllic park.
Social media users from all around the theme park shared videos of the plume taking over a large section of the cloudless, blue Florida sky.
No people were injured and the fire was quickly extinguished, Fox35 reported, citing local officials.
Officials say EPCOT was in the midst of hosting the International Flower & Garden Festival when the fire initially started.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
Disney did not respond to The Post’s request for comment.
