The Florida Gators cheerleaders sent social media wild this week as they celebrated their men's basketball team making it all the way to March Madness' Final Four.

The talented young cheer squad will be accompanying the players to San Antonio for the team's first Final Four appearance since 2014, and they posted a series of images from their Elite Eight win over Texas Tech.

Taking to Instagram, the cheerleaders' official account posted some celebratory snaps, including them posing with their pom-poms and the trophy after the huge win.

As March Madness has progressed, the Gators Cheer Instagram account has seen a huge boost to its following, and it now has close to 64,000 followers. By contrast, that is over double the women's basketball team's Instagram following.

In their trophy post, the account wrote: 'The Gators are headed to the Final Four! Off to San Antonio to keep dancing!'

Impressively, all four No 1 seeds have made it to the final tournament, with Florida set to face off against Auburn, and Duke taking on Houston, all on Saturday.

Florida has not been to the Final Four since 2014, and has not been national champion since going back-to-back in 2006 and 2007.

As it stands, Florida is second-favorite to win March Madness, according to the latest odds from FanDuel.

Duke currently sits at +100, Florida is +290, Houston is +420 and Auburn is the outsider at +490.

Auburn did finish above Florida in the SEC during the regular season, but Florida's impressive form at March Madness has catapulted them above their rivals.
