A Florida serial felon who kidnapped and sexually assaulted a DoorDash driver was dragged out of the courtroom when he launched into an expletive-laced meltdown following his swift conviction.
Joseph Killins erupted inside Hillsborough County Court in Tampa, Fla., on Thursday, when a jury took just 20 minutes to find him guilty of attempted murder, armed kidnapping and sexual battery stemming from the April 2023 attack.
“That b—h lying, man!” Killins yelled after the verdict was finished being read, according to video from WFLA. “I didn’t do no s–t like that to that motherf–ker.”
The agitated creep had jolted out of his seat, forcing several officers to restrain him.
“Sit down, Mr. Killins,” Judge Lyann Goudie ordered.
The movement of the frantic convict forced the judge to clear the jury from the courtroom before addressing the agitated predator.
“What’s going on Mr. Killins?” Goudie asked before she was interrupted by his obscene blowup.
“Out, out, he goes in the holding cell,” the no-nonsense judge ordered.
Killins, who already had nine felony convictions including for drug possession and burglary, attacked the female DoorDash driver delivering a pizza in Tampa, Fla., on April 18, 2023.
The now-41-year-old held his victim at gunpoint and ordered her to drive him around the Belara Lakes apartment complex before forcing her to perform oral sex on him, the unidentified woman testified in court
Killins was the only witness to testify for the defense and claimed he had been in a relationship with his victim, sharing a graphic but disputable account of the events that took place.
He later claimed he had fallen asleep in the car as the victim drove around the apartment complex, only to wake up and find the victim chose to perform oral sex, according to CourtTV.
“Anybody in their right mind ain’t finna hold somebody at gunpoint and force them to perform oral sex on them,” Killins said, ironically. “That’d be kind of crazy.”
During cross-examination, Assistant State Attorney Jessica Couvertier managed to get Killins to admit he held his victim down into his genitals during the assault.
“And you use your right hand to force her head further down on your penis?” the prosecutor asked.
“No, left hand,” Killins corrected her.
“OK, thank you for correcting me. So you use your left hand to force her head down further on your penis?” she clarified before the pervert confirmed the hand.
During the assault, the victim was on the phone with her girlfriend, who managed to get to the car’s location with her twin sister and confronted Killins with a baseball bat.
Killins fired his gun, striking the girlfriend’s sister in the head.
The next day, Killins attacked a woman in her 40s in the same parking lot before stealing her backpack and running off.
He was charged and later convicted of robbery in the second case.
Killins was handed four life sentences in prison Thursday, the county state attorney’s office announced.
It took a tremendous amount of courage for the three victims in this case to come forward, testify, and fight for justice. We thank them for their grace and courage during this entire process,” Hillsborough State Attorney Suzy Lopez said.
