A man wanted for questioning in connection to the Miami killing of Cuban reggaeton artist El Taiger was arrested in New York.
Damián Valdéz-Galloso, 49, was apprehended in Queens on Tuesday, the New York Police Department said.
The Miami Police Department identified Valdéz-Galloso, of Hialeah in the Miami area, as a person of interest following the October 3 shooting of the 37-year-old musician.

El Taiger, whose real name was Jose Manuel Carbajal Zaldivar, was found shot in the head inside a Mercedes Benz SUV in Miami.
He was rushed to the hospital, where he was placed on life support, and died of his injuries on October 10.
Miami Police Chief Manuel A. Morales previously said that investigators believed El Taiger had been shot at another location and then taken to an area near the hospital, TMZ reported.
Valdéz-Galloso, a native of Cuba, resided in the Miami neighborhood of Hialeah and had been convicted six times between 2007 and 2018.

El Taiger was well-known in the Cubatón genre, a hybrid of reggaeton with classic Cuban rhythms
He has been a registered sex offender since 2007 after her was accused of having sex with a 17-year-old.
Police sources told Univision 23 that Valdéz-Galloso’s arrest in New York was made possible because he had failed to register as a sex offender.
El Taiger was well-known in the Cubatón genre, a hybrid of reggaeton with classic Cuban rhythms, with notable tracks including La Historia, El Papelito and Habla Matador.
