A Florida high school cafeteria worker is behind bars for allegedly sending explicit photos of her bare breasts to a student on social media, according to police.

Ashely Pearce, a 39-year-old cafeteria worker at Merritt Island High School, was arrested Monday after an underage student reported her alleged behavior to police.

The school, located in Merritt Island is approximately 50-60 miles from Orlando, Florida.

The student complied, and after the two talked through private messages she allegedly sent a photo that “showed her unclothed breast,” the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

Pearce was then blocked by the student, who quickly told law enforcement what happened.

The suspect claimed to investigators she was not aware of the student’s age when she gave them her social media details. However, investigators told her she should have been aware the victim was underage due to them being a student at the school, The Kansas City Star reported.

She was detained at the Brevard County Jail, and remains barred on $2,500 bail.

Investigators are combing through her social media activity to see if there are any more victims of possible abuse.

“If any parents believe that their child may have had any inappropriate communications with this subject, please contact Special Victim’s Unit,” said Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey.

Pearce also worked as an after-school proctor at the nearby Andersen Elementary School.

She was promptly suspended from both schools, and faces charges for transmission of material harmful to a minor by electronic device or equipment.
