Florida’s Amendment 4 is the beginning of eliminating innocent babies who are inconvenient realities

The victories recently won by those who would erase all restrictions on abortion has emboldened them to bring their carnival of death to Florida.

They have placed an amendment to the Florida State Constitution on this year’s ballot that would remove any and all restrictions on abortion and provide legal grounds for allowing a miracle abortion survivor to “be made comfortable” while she or he is allowed to die of starvation and hunger as has been described by a Democrat former Governor of Virginia.

Abortion is for the most part a gain of truth wrapped in a blanket of lies.

A careful reading of the wording of this would- be change to Florida’s constitution reveals the lies and half-truths it contains.

To give this matter proper perspective, we must acknowledge that an abortion snuffs out the life of an innocent child.

This completely blameless child did not ask to be conceived and once the formation of her or his body is underway she or he must totally depend of his or her mother for life sustaining food, comfort, and warmth. That is a controversial premise to only a small number of people who weigh in on this matter.

Reasonable people see the total dependence of a pre-born child on his or her mother as a given and an established fact.

Another established fact is that not every child is born on the completion traditional of nine months of gestation.

To say otherwise is to insist that a child born prematurely at as 7 months of gestation is not a child but a complex mass of cells. Basic medical science tells us this is not the case.

That would make Ob-gyn and obstetrics doctors and nurses miracle workers able to breathe life into an inanimate pile of cells which, of course they are not.

These heroes of life provide palliative care, love and tenderness to children born early, but they cannot make life where it does not exist.

According to the University of Utah Health, the survival rate for your baby is 80 to 90 percent at 28 weeks. Some clinical studies have even more promising data, showing survival rates of 94 percent and 98 percent Trusted Source at this age.

Babies born prematurely after 8 months of gestation generally have a 99% chance of surviving.

So, the very real section of the Amendment 4 language that omits restrictions on abortions committed against 7 -8 -9 month old children is something that all thoughtful consideration must include as voters deliberate a yes or no answer to A4 on Election Day.

This brings us to the question of viability. Most people think that "viability" means the point at which a child is developed enough to survive outside the womb. This is because common sense and thousands of years of observation have proven this to be true. But the word "viability" is purposely NOT defined in the language of Amendment 4, so it is up to the "healthcare provider" who, often has a predisposition to favor abortion, to decide whether the baby is "viable" or not. Once placed into Florida’s Constitution, the language of Amendment 4 would Replace any current legal definitions of viability.

Would there be “healthcare” providers that would declare that an unborn child who had reached the 7th month of gestation was unviable and therefore liable to have her or his life terminated?

Of course.

A reasonable person might then move on to the question of health of the mother in any consideration of A4.

Most people think of "health of the patient" as a condition that threatens the life of the mother or poses a very serious and irreversible effect on the mother's health.

Nevertheless, "health" is also intentionally NOT defined in Amendment 4 in a thinly disguised attempt to trick and confuse even the most sincere voter.

Because "Health" is not defined, it can mean anything the abortionist wants it to mean!

"Health" could mean the woman's physical health, her emotional health, even her financial "health."

By this view abortion even up to 39 ¾ weeks as is written in a similar law enacted in Minnesota, can be placed in the category of a “healthcare” concern.

This lack of definition opens the door for any woman to claim any condition -- mental, physical or fiscal -- and have an abortion at any time during her pregnancy. It's all up to her "healthcare provider."

But, who or what is a “healthcare” provider under Amendment 4?

The term "Healthcare Provider" is also purposely not defined in Amendment 4. Florida statutes have different definitions of who may legally be called a “healthcare provider.”

A4 supersedes and push aside Florida’s laws that already describe and define who can be called a “healthcare provider” by law.

This is not an unimportant element of Amendment 4.

Without a well defined legal description of who is and who is not a “healthcare provider” – without clear language here, anyone, even in the periphery of the medical profession say a podiatrist a speech therapist of a coroner can claim the mantle of “healthcare provider” and prescribe an abortion.

These examples are not far fetched because the legal profession thieves on minute differences in legal language.

These things said, many safeguards for abortions are already in place in Florida and any competent doctor can explain them to you.

But, Florida Amendment 4 goes to a new extreme that makes a mockery of those who are considering an abortion. It relies on missing phrases half truths and some actual lies. Make your decision based of facts, science and your internal compass.

It is imperative that you actually VOTE and that you vote NO on 4.

The Amendment needs a 60% super-majority to pass. But if this presentation has brought you to conclude that voting No is best for you, do not be fooled into thinking that you should skip this question because A4 will fail anyway.

There are powerful well-funded forces working hard to force abortion for any reason – or no reason at any time even up to 39 3/4 weeks into Florida law.

Please think carefully about this very important vote. Only the YES & NO votes are counted. You MUST vote, and you must vote NO.

Pray work ask God for His help – work more – pray more!
