Following infections, E. coli bacteria discovered in apples in Israel

E. coli bacteria was discovered in a sample test conducted on apples, according to a Health Ministry statement on Wednesday, on the eve of Rosh Hashanah.

The tests were conducted following several cases of bacterial morbidity, which may lead to severe digestive system morbidity. Meanwhile, the Health Ministry recommends washing fruits and vegetables with water before consuming them.
