The Foo Fighters have canceled an upcoming gig amid frontman Dave Grohl's   affair scandal and admission to fathering a secret baby outside of his marriage.

Grohl, 55, shocked fans earlier this month when he confessed to cheating on wife of 21 years Jordyn Blum and welcoming a a baby girl with an as-yet unnamed woman.

The band were set to perform for the first time since the scandal broke at the Soundside Music Festival in Bridgeport, Connecticut this weekend - but abruptly pulled out on Thursday.

A statement read: 'Foo Fighters will no longer be appearing at this weekend’s Soundside Music Festival.

'Please check the festival website for more information.'
