Fortnite has a long history of releasing weird and wonderful cosmetics, and the 34.20 update might have just introduced the grossest yet.
When it comes to releasing skins and cosmetics, it seems like nothing is off the table in Fortnite. Whether it’s characters from major franchises like Mortal Kombat and Star Wars, or even items based on popular memes like Skibidi Toilet, it’s all represented in Fortnite.
With this approach, it’s no surprise that Epic occasionally goes into stranger territory. Now, with the arrival of OG Season 3, they’ve outdone themselves with the new “Big Toes” Kicks.
Fortnite players disgusted by new Big Toe Kicks
Once downtime for the 34.20 update began, dataminers began uncovering files for all of the of cosmetics set to be added by the patch. This included most of the usual fare, including skins and the latest OG Victory Umbrella, but one item immediately caught the eye of players.
As the name suggests, the Big Toes Kicks are shoes that you can equip to your in-game character, featuring blue sneakers with huge wrinkly toes bursting out of the front. These will soon be added to the in-game store to be purchased with V-Bucks.
The best (or worst) part is they can be equipped to most outfits, meaning you could have Iron Man or even Darth Vader running around the island with their toes out.
As you can probably imagine, the response has been fairly mixed from Fortnite players, with some being instantly freaked out by the Kicks.
“Nah that’s f*****g disgusting bro get this off my screen and out of my game, I will uninstall,” said one disturbed fan, while another added: “We’re actually losing the plot man.”
However, there were also those who found the “gorgeous” new item hilarious.
“I can’t stop laughing,” said one reply, with another joking: “Lowkey need this with Rick Grimes.”
No matter which side you fall on, these are exactly the kinds of cosmetics that become popular, just like we saw with Skibidi Toilet. So, don’t be surprised if you get eliminated by John Wick with his toes on display in the near future.
