Fortnite players are convinced a Kingdom Hearts crossover could finally be close after leakers found what appears to be a new Rocket League anthem tied to Square Enix and Disney’s RPG series.
Rumors of a Kingdom Hearts collab have been circulating for months, with Fortnite leakers previously claiming that Sora and other items from the series could be heading to the Item Shop. Now, a new Rocket League leak has added fuel to the speculation.
On June 9, leaker SamLeakss claimed that “KINGDOM HEARTS x FORTNITE AND ROCKET LEAGUE MIGHT BE ADDED VERY SOON,” pointing to an upcoming Rocket League anthem called “Blast Away Gummi Ship.”
Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR also highlighted the leak, saying Rocket League will “seemingly” add a Kingdom Hearts anthem in the next update and noting that Fortnite and Rocket League collabs often happen around the same time.
Kingdom Hearts Fortnite leak gains traction
HYPEX later claimed that “KINGDOM HEARTS x FORTNITE IS CLOSE TO RELEASE,” citing the same leaked Rocket League anthem. Another leaker, FireMonkey, also posted that a Kingdom Hearts x Fortnite x Rocket League crossover could be “coming very soon.”
In Rocket League, Player Anthems are songs that play during major in-game moments, including scoring a goal, making an Epic Save, or earning MVP at the end of a match. Epic’s support page notes that new Player Anthems can be unlocked through challenge rewards, Rocket Pass, or purchased through the Item Shop and Rocket Pass Premium.
That makes the leaked “Blast Away Gummi Ship” anthem notable, as the Gummi Ship is one of the most recognizable parts of Kingdom Hearts. While the leak does not confirm what Fortnite cosmetics would be included, fans are already hoping for Sora, a Keyblade pickaxe, and other series-themed items.
Epic Games, Square Enix, and Disney have not officially announced a Kingdom Hearts crossover for Fortnite or Rocket League at the time of writing, so the leak should be treated as unconfirmed for now. Still, with several major Fortnite leakers pointing to the same Rocket League files, players believe the long-rumored collab may finally be close.
