France hosting a conference to raise support for humanitarian aid for war-torn Lebanon.

One billion dollars raised to deal with a conflict that is likely to get worse as Israel tries to weaken Hezbollah to a point where the Lebanese army and or Christian factions in the country may be led into conflict with Hezbollah alongside the Israelis...

Meanwhile the debate about France's new 'austerity' budget is underway.

Like the previous government, the new one does not have a majority in the National Assembly...

Today in Paris a protest of the "austerity" budget organized by "Les Patriotes" a faction that broke away...

A call for a ceasefire in the Middle East...

There was a protest in Paris this afternoon by a small group...
