Police in Washington DC are frantically searching for a teenage girl after she was reportedly abducted late on Thursday night.

The Metropolitan Police Department issued a notice looking for help in locating Nevaeha Orellana, 14, after she was last seen just before 11pm. 

Authorities have issued an Amber Alert, which increases the importance of the missing persons case through social and broadcast media. 

Police have described the youngster as being Black, 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing 130 pounds. She was last seen at the 1300 block of Longfellow St.

According to officers, she was last seen wearing a white shirt, with pink pants and black sneakers.

Police have said that a person witnessed the apparent abduction and said that two vehicles were used in the incident, according to The Washington Post.

The outlet reported that a black Cadillac SUV and a silver sedan with the Virginia license plate 10992U was spotted at the scene. 

Officers said on Friday morning that they had no description of a possible suspect in the case.
