FromSoftware is giving Nintendo Switch 2 owners their first opportunity to play The Duskbloods through a limited network test running from August 21 to August 23.

Applications will open on July 22 at 7 AM PDT and close on July 28 at 6:59 AM PDT. Players will need a Nintendo Switch 2, a Nintendo Account, and an active Nintendo Switch Online membership to apply and participate.

The Duskbloods is FromSoftware’s upcoming PvPvE multiplayer game, which combines battles against other players with encounters against computer-controlled enemies. Matches support up to eight players, with each participant controlling one of the superhuman Bloodsworn.

The Switch 2 exclusive is still scheduled to launch sometime in 2026, although FromSoftware and Nintendo have yet to announce a firm release date.

The Duskbloods network test dates revealed

According to the official network test website, the test is designed to examine server load, multiplayer performance across different network environments, and the game’s overall balance.

Five separate four-hour sessions will be held throughout the weekend:

  • August 21 from 3 AM to 7 AM PDT
  • August 21 from 7 PM to 11 PM PDT
  • August 22 from 11 AM to 3 PM PDT
  • August 23 from 3 AM to 7 AM PDT
  • August 23 from 7 PM to 11 PM PDT

The number of participants will be limited, and applications will be accepted in the order they are received. Successful applicants are scheduled to be announced on August 7 at 6 AM PDT.

Selected players will receive a download code through the network test website. The pre-release version will be available for download on the Nintendo eShop or Nintendo Store on August 18 at 6 AM PDT. FromSoftware has warned that bugs may occur and that any scheduled sessions may be changed or canceled without notice.

Players will compete for a mysterious substance known as “First Blood” across locations pulled from different eras, including Gothic, Victorian, and early modern settings. While temporary alliances can form during matches, only one Bloodsworn can ultimately claim victory.
