Footage appearing to show a Chicago Cubs fan shoving a woman while attempting to retrieve a home run ball has sparked outrage on social media.
Pete Crow-Armstrong blasted a two-run home run into the famous left-field bleachers at Wrigley Field with his Cubs team trailing 3-0 in the third inning of Sunday's series finale against the St. Louis Cardinals.
The ball landed among the spectators, sparking a scramble from fans to try and claim it. But eagle-eyed viewers spotted one fan appearing to shove a woman aside in the efforts to claim the ball, as another fan eventually got their hands on the souvenir.
The clip was quickly circulated on social media, along with a post reading: 'Putting your hands on a girl over a ball in the stands is peak loser behavior.'
Users were quick to weigh in, criticizing the Cubs fan wearing a gray Kenny Lofton No.7 jersey.
'I'm all about the mad dash for the home run ball but this is unacceptable behavior. Doesn't matter if it a man or a woman,' one fan commented.

Another said: 'I am absolutely appalled by this,' as the original poster replied: 'As any decent person should be.'
The fans faced calls to 'be banned permanently from all future Cub games' as another baseball fan called it 'completely appalling.
'If this guy did this to me with my Dad in the stands, he would have given him a piece of his mind.'
More extensive footage was later posted leading some fans to get a different interpretation, noting the girl in the clip appeared to be seated two rows above where the ball landed. Some suggested the man might actually not have intentionally shoved her as people lost their balance amid the scramble for the ball and a nearby fan lost his hat.
The Cardinals went on to win the game 11-4, taking the three-game series 2-1 after being beaten by the Cubs in Friday's opener. The series was also notable after Joshua Baez became the first ever player to hit three home runs in his first three at-bats on his MLB debut to lead the Cardinals to an 8-4 win on Saturday.
The incident in the stands is the latest in a long line of situations with fans fighting to secure home run balls in recent years.
A Philadelphia fan who became known online as 'Phillies Karen' went viral last year after forcing a young boy who snagged a home run ball from Harrison Bader to hand it over to her.
Quick-thinking fans caught the interaction on camera. 'That was ours,' the woman yelled - before the boy's dad handed over the ball he had picked up. The woman became the victim of a social media grilling with a host of ruthless memes circulating around the internet in the aftermath.
Lincoln Feltwell, the boy involved, told NBC 10 Philadelphia at the time: 'I wasn’t very happy that we had to give it to her, but we can’t win. She was going to get it anyways.'
