Gaza residents flee before Israeli strike hits mosque area

Footage from Gaza City shows missiles striking part of the city, sending flames and thick smoke into the night sky. Residents said the attacks followed an evacuation warning issued by the Israeli military.

The strikes hit Gaza City and Deir al-Balah on Tuesday evening. No casualties were immediately reported. People living near Al-Muttaqin Mosque evacuated nearby tents before the strike and later returned to inspect the damage.

Israeli strikes have continued across the Gaza Strip despite a fragile ceasefire between Israel and Hamas that came into effect in October.
