“A misplaced priority can appear convincing when it grows so close to what is good. Discernment, therefore, requires wisdom, requires patience, and careful attention to God's Word.
“The Christian life calls us not merely to sincerity, but to truth. Good intentions alone are not good enough.
“We are invited to test what we hear, to read what we believe, and to measure every teaching against the character and the truth of who Christ is. The more familiar we become with God's truth, the more readily we can recognise what does not belong.
“The master of the field sees what the servants cannot see. Likewise, God knows the difference between the wheat and the tares.
“Our task, therefore, is to remain faithful and to grow in grace, and to grow in wisdom and in truth.”
