"What's he saying? Yeast is tiny, is hidden. It's easy to overlook. Yet it has a disproportionate power despite appearances. It has the power to transform everything it touches.

"Jesus says his kingdom is like that. It starts small and unimpressive, but there's hidden power there. That principle has been played out in the history of Christianity as a whole. It began with a penniless preacher and a handful of followers.

"Jesus had no political power, no army, no wealth or influence. Yet today, billions of people call themselves Christians. Why? Because there's a quiet power in the message about Jesus.

"And still today, I see the good news about Jesus transforming people's lives quietly, but definitely from the inside out. Like yeast in dough, the message of Jesus has the power to transform us."
