In today's GB News Daily Reflection, we acknowledge that the Bible's harvest language reminds us that what looks ordinary on the surface may be closer to readiness than we think.
"In the Bible, harvest is often a picture of people's lives ready to respond. Hearts open in ways we might not expect. At Pentecost, that image comes into focus.
"People from all over the world hear the message about Jesus in their own language, and are gathered into God's family through it. It's the moment of ingathering, the beginning of a global harvest.
"And the striking thing is this the harvest is still right today. The window hasn't closed. Even in a distracted, sceptical age, there remains a quiet openness, a hunger for meaning, a longing for hope. Real questions about why we're here.
"The Christian claim is that God is still at work drawing people and giving new life where it seemed unlikely."
