"The servant referred to in this chapter is fulfilled perfectly in Jesus. Jesus's mission was far greater than restoring Israel alone. He was the light for the entire world. His life, his death on the cross, and the empty tomb all declare that no one is beyond the reach of his loving salvation. May this expand our own heart to others too easily.
"Do we keep our love and favour towards those who are like us, and who share our views too easily? Do we favour our own cultural tribes and shared identities, creating boundary lines, deciding who must be shunned? God's heart is an open heart. So may our hearts expand to all people."
