Gen Z content creators are roasting their English counterparts over how they do their glam on TikTok.

A viral video from Greek content creator Vasia Tsanikidou is poking fun at the way British women do their makeup, as American commenters chimed in with what they thought 'British makeup' meant.

Vasia shared a video of her walking down the street with dark sunglasses and wrote, 'Walking in London realizing British makeup is not a TikTok joke.'

'The black brows and the white lips always shocked me plus the tan foundation and white neck,' one person commented, echoing the 'ew' sound that was playing in the video.

Many American commenters said they already knew about 'British makeup' from watching reality shows like Love Island or Geordie Shore.

One woman compared British makeup to the Jersey Shore look in the early aughts as another said it involved loads of lip filler and overdrawn eyebrows with a nude, heavily lined lip.

'I have watched TLC TV shows since I was a child and yeah I knew about British makeup even before TikTok existed,' one commenter joked.

'REAL. I didn’t know how popular orange toned foundation/bronzer was,' another said.

Some Brits were offended, with one writing, 'Hey, so this is RUDE!' to which another commenter responded, 'rude is being orange.'

Plenty of American Gen Z influencers are also re-creating what they believe is the British makeup look.
