A woman on TikTok was slammed after she recorded herself frolicking about in filthy water after her living room was flooded by Hurricane Helene.

In a 15 second video posted online that has been viewed more than 13 million times, the woman could be seen sliding across the wooden floor to her family's living room covered in several inches of filthy rainwater.

The woman performed a series of dance moves that she had seen in the 2008 dance movie Step Up 2, that saw her slipping on the wood before splashing around as she attempted to bust a move.

'POV: hurricane Helene going crazy but this scene in Step Up 2 go crazier', the Gen Z TikToker wrote.

In a 15 second video posted online, that has been viewed more than 13 million times, the woman could be seen sliding across the wooden floor to her family's living room

She could be seen flopping around while squeezing out water from her soaked clothes t-shirt and shorts.

It led to a number of caustic reactions online from viewers who were far from impressed with the women's antics.

Many were concerned that she was messing about in the water while the home's electricity still appeared to be turned on, with an electric fan and several lamps still shining brightly in the background.

'Bestie slay but turn your electricity off', wrote Taliewallie.

'Bestie ur killing it but PLEASE flip the breaker.' urged Jenna.

'Having the electric on while there is flooding is wild. I'd turn it off not wanting to be electrocuted,' suggested Emma Garrard.

The woman claimed to be recreating moves from the 2008 dance movie Step Up 2

Many commenters were concerned that she had left the home's electricity on

The TikToker has 17,000 followers but more than 3 million people have viewed the clip so far

'All I can think about is that lamp is plugged in,' added Kaz.

Others were more concerned about what the young woman might be swimming in.

'That's backed up sewage water,' warned one.

'Am I entertained? Yes. Am I concerned? Also yes,' wrote Cherise.

'When you decide you're not even gonna let a hurricane ruin your day,' wrote one supporter of the woman's antics.

'I love how generational traumatized we all are as a generation that we have just become soooo unserious about such traumatic and terrifying event.' Wrote Cindy Dodge.

Many others posted similar comments suggesting the woman was really not acting her age.

'We can't be the new adults,' wrote JS - a theme echoed by dozens of others of Gen Z'ers.

Hurricane Helene made landfall as a Category 4 storm late on Thursday, slamming into Florida's Big Bend region with winds of 140 mph.

The storm's destructive path continued through Georgia. As the weakened storm moved north, it unleashed torrential rains on the Carolinas and Tennessee, causing widespread flooding and landslides.
