Girl Scouts will be saying farewell to two of their beloved cookie flavors next year.

The youth organization confirmed in a press release that it would retire two flavors following this year's cookie season.

The organization kicked off its cookie season on January 7, which they said would show off Girl Scouts' 'entrepreneurial skills as they find new and inventive ways to sell cookies, unboxing brighter futures for themselves.'

'With the cookie season back in full swing, cookie lovers can rejoice as they indulge in the classic cookie lineup,' Girl Scouts said in a press release.

Unfortunately, after this year's cookie season, the S'mores and Toast-Yay! cookies will no longer be part of that lineup.

Various X users were furious over the flavor discontinuation and especially angry over S'mores' retirement.

'They're retiring the s'mores Girl Scout cookies and my heart is broken,' an X user tweeted.

Girl Scouts made the retirement announcement just one year after they confirmed the discontinuation of its Rasberry Rally cookie.

Girls Scouts introduced the S'mores and Toast-Yay! cookies in 2017 and 2021 respectively.

S'mores debuted as part of the organization's 100-year anniversary celebration and became the most popular launch in Girl Scouts history.

The cookie filled with chocolate and marshmallow also overshadowed the now-retired Chocolate-Coated S'mores Cookie.

The Toast-Yay! cookie is a French-toast-shaped and flavored treat dipped in icing.

Girl Scout fans were heartbroken over the news and called the cookies' retirement the 'end of an era.'

'Sad to see S'mores and Toast-Yay! go - hope they make a comeback someday!,' an X user tweeted.

Other heartbroken fans admitted they were sad about the retirement but hoped for 'exciting new flavors in the future.'

'Discontinuing the S'mores and Toast-Yay! cookies is a bummer, but it's a chance for something new and exciting to hit the cookie stands next year!,' an X user wrote

The 2025 Girl Scout Cookie season kicked off on January 7 and will end in April 2025

Social media users were furious over the cookies' retirement and many fans were especially angry over the S'mores Cookie removal

Following the social media buzz, Girl Scouts of America confirmed it would begin thinking of new flavor ideas.

'We routinely reevaluate our cookie lineup to make room for new innovations,' a Girl Scouts spokesperson wrote in an email to DailyMail.com.

'Discontinuing Toast-Yay! and Girl Scout S’mores may lead to something new and delicious.'

The organization will also continue promoting the main idea of cookie season, which is currently the largest entrepreneurial program in the world.

'Girl Scout Cookie season is about so much more than selling the iconic cookies people know and love,' GSUSA Chief Revenue Officer Wendy Lou said in January 7 press release.

'The funds girls earn throughout the season directly power girls' journeys in leadership, entrepreneurship and community building.'

Lou added that each sale is a testament to 'how much girls can change the world when they put their minds to it.'

Participants will also have the chance to earn various awards such as Cookie Business badges, Financial Literacy badges, Cookie Entrepreneur Family pins and Entrepreneur badges.

All proceeds from cookie sales nationwide will go to local Girl Scout councils and troops to raise money for activities like trips and service projects.

Besides the retiring goodies, Girl Scouts will be selling its fan-favorite Thin Mints and Lemon-Ups cookies this year

This year's season will run until April, and fans can purchase cookies online or place an order from a Girl Scout.

Anyone who doesn't know a Girl Scout can use the Girl Scout Cookie Finder to find a place to purchase the annual treats.

They will also have the option to purchase cookies to be shipped to their homes through the Girl Scout Cookie Finder on February 21.

All Girl Scout cookies will be available to purchase for $6 a box.

Besides the retiring goodies, Girl Scouts will sell its fan-favorite Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, and Lemon-Ups cookies this year.
