Collins told Axios that the Senate’s constitutional “advice and consent” duty for Trump’s appointees “means a background check, it means extensive committee investigations and questionnaires and public hearings.”
The moderate GOP senator also said that she would be against Trump making recess appointments asserting it would be a way to “avoid and evade the Senate’s constitutional duty to do advice and consent

Collins has been a fake from as far back as I can remember. She doesn’t even have enough “Republican” in her to be labeled a RINO...that’s pretty bad.

Sorry but it only takes 50 Senators to vote for a nominee. She rubber stamped every wack job nominee Obama and Biden put up. She has zero credibility claiming she has any concern about the Senate “advise and consent” duties. She abrogated her duty on that role long long ago.
