Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said over the weekend that the Biden-Harris administration has set the world “on fire” in the name of “not escalating” conflicts around the world.

Graham made the remarks during a Sunday CNN interview with Jake Tapper on “State of the Union” while discussing Israel’s strike late last week that killed Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.

The senator said that he believes that the events over the last year, starting with Hamas’ unprecedented terrorist attack against Israel on October 7, and Israel subsequently decimating both Hamas and Hezbollah, both of which are Iranian-backed terrorist groups, is pushing Iran closer to building a nuclear weapon.

“We’re one missile away from civilians getting killed in Israel and maybe Israel having to hit Iran,” he said. “Blinken said the Iranian nuclear program was weeks away from having a weapon, potentially. I think what Iran’s learning from all this, it’s probably better to have a nuclear weapon than not. Their proxies have really been hurt. Hezbollah, Hamas have really been hurt.”

“So what I fear is, they will break out toward a nuclear weapon, thinking that’s the insurance policy they don’t have through the proxies,” he continued. “So that’s what I worry about the most today.”

He said that the relationship between the Biden-Harris administration and the state of Israel is so weak that Israel largely does not consult with the administration.

“The Biden administration is paralyzed by fear of Iran,” he said. “In the name of not escalating, the world is on fire. So I promise you, if Trump does win, we’re going to fix this pretty quick.”
