GTA 6 fans believe Rockstar Games has quietly recreated Dexter Morgan’s iconic Miami apartment complex in Vice City.

Rockstar’s 26-minute GTA 6 Extended Look gave players their most detailed tour of Vice City and Leonida yet. Naturally, fans have been combing through every frame for hidden details.

One shot provides an aerial view of a waterfront apartment building that looked immediately familiar to Dexter viewers.

“It seems like a modified version of Dexter Morgan’s apartment will appear in GTA 6,” Saukko505 wrote on X, sharing images of the game and the real property used for the series.

The similarities are difficult to miss. Both buildings feature a comparable T-shaped layout, a distinctive circular exterior staircase and walkways crossing the lawn. Their positions beside the water are also remarkably similar.

It’s unclear if players will be able to go inside, but if they can, it would be ideal to check the air conditioner for blood slides or Barbie pieces in the fridge.

Dexter’s apartment exterior was filmed at the Bay Harbor Club, located at 1155 103rd Street in Bay Harbor Islands, Miami. Since Vice City is Rockstar’s fictional version of Miami, fans believe the resemblance is more than a coincidence.

GTA 6 players want more Dexter Easter Eggs

The discovery quickly spread across social media, with another post declaring: “Dexter Morgan’s apartment is in GTA 6! Can’t wait for the Easter eggs.”

“I hope they do a Dexter reference,” one fan replied, while plenty of others responded with classic James Doakes memes from the series.

Other players are already thinking about the possibilities for Grand Theft Auto VI’s version of GTA Online. “Someone is gonna buy an apartment there in online and make an entire YouTube series out of it role playing as Dexter,” one user predicted.

Rockstar has not confirmed that the property is an intentional Dexter Easter Egg. However, GTA 6’s trailers are already filled with references to Florida landmarks, viral incidents and pop culture. Fans also recently uncovered a Vice City Easter Egg that went unnoticed for more than a year.

The apparent tribute comes as Rockstar says it has to be more “careful” with satire to prevent jokes from feeling dated.

While the Extended Look revealed major systems that will force players to think more like criminals, smaller discoveries like this show that Vice City could be packed with secrets waiting to be uncovered.

Meanwhile, Dexter Resurrection Season 2 is scheduled to premiere later in 2026. The new series takes place in New York, so if GTA ever makes a return to Liberty City, there may be even more Dexter Easter Eggs in future installments.
