GTA 6 gameplay footage showing Jason playing basketball, fighting and driving has appeared online alongside new images allegedly revealing parts of the game’s map.

The material began spreading on August 18, just nine days before Rockstar is set to premiere its GTA 6 Extended Look on Netflix.

GTA 6 leak reveals driving, melee combat and police

In one of the clips, Jason is seen driving a car on the highway when he turns directly into oncoming traffic and hits a “Scoop” delivery van.

The angry driver exits the video and threatens to “get some teeth out of your face.” From there, the two engage in melee combat where Jason drops his foe after delivering a jump kick and punch.

The player then picks up a wrench and hits him several times, triggering a two-star Wanted level. The player escapes by crashing into an ambulance and approaches a helicopter before the clip ends.

GTA 6 leak shows Jason shooting hoops

A second brief gameplay clip begins with Jason leaning against the railing of the home seen at the start of GTA 6’s second trailer.

Jason then jumps down into the driveway, where a boat matching the one previously shown by Rockstar can be spotted. He picks up a basketball before an on-screen prompt explains the shooting mechanic.

“To shoot, aim and hold until the rings overlap, then release,” the instruction reads.

After Jason makes the basket, a Focus stat appears on the screen and increases by 2%. The footage ends shortly after the ball lands in the nearby water.

Separate images said to be from GTA 6’s map have also surfaced. They highlight several locations, including Dalton Island, Tequesta Retreat, Gloriana Key, Catalan Key and Catalan Bay.

Rockstar has not confirmed the footage or map images are legitimate, but the studio has reportedly begun to DMCA the leaks, indicating that they are real.

I can confirm Rockstar is currently taking down tweets based on DMCA report screenshots I've been sent. DO NOT POST THESE LEAKS

If real, it would still rank among the biggest GTA 6 leaks to emerge since Rockstar’s infamous 2022 network intrusion exposed dozens of development videos.

The timing is also notable. Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look premieres on Netflix at 3 PM ET on August 27 before arriving on Rockstar’s YouTube channel and website six hours later.

Rockstar has not revealed exactly what the presentation will include, although fans are expecting the first substantial official look at gameplay. GTA 6 launches for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026.
