A Grand Theft Auto fan has made the GTA 6 launch trailer in GTA 5, and it is safe to say that the difference in quality between the two games is pretty mind-blowing.

Over the last few months, the marketing campaign for Grand Theft Auto 6 has been seriously kicked up by Rockstar Games. The newest step in that came on October 15, with the official launch of on-the-ground marketing in Miami, Florida, with parts of the city being coated in the Vice City name and colors.

On top of that, Rockstar also dropped the launch trailer for GTA 6. This 90-second-long video showcased another look at Jason and Lucia’s relationship, part of Jason’s backstory, as well as some previously reported mission storylines.

Naturally, fans have been digging through the launch trailer for more details, including any easter eggs. However, one, GearOS Plays, has made a shot-by-shot recreation using Grand Theft Auto 5.

GTA 6 trailer in GTA 5 highlights massive differences

That includes shooting at in-game locations in GTA 5 that are similar to the ones shown in GTA 6. It has gone pretty viral too, with many viewers pointing out the stark difference in how the two games look.

“If you look at 5 and 6, 5 looks like Minecraft compared to 6,” one said. “I can’t look at GTA 5 the same way now after seeing GTA 6,” another added.

“GTA 6 makes GTA 5 look like f**king s*it, and people wanna compare it,” another commented. “Legitimately looks like a PS2 game now, holy s*it,” replied another.

The comparisons have come up a few times in the past, with Grand Theft Auto 5 star Ned Luke also commenting on things.

“This looks nothing like Grand Theft Auto 5. I think they’re out of their minds,” he said in a YouTube video. “The technology has grown by leaps and bounds.”

Luke has also gotten fellow actor Steven Ogg, who played Trevor in GTA 5, interested in GTA 6 after Ogg previously said he didn’t get the hype around the game.
