A massive Grand Theft Auto leak has revealed an updated version of Liberty City, which fans are already speculating could play a role in GTA 6, as well as a better look at the Leonida map
The development of Grand Theft Auto 6 has been full of leaks. Back in 2022, Rockstar Games had to deal with early development footage hitting the internet, showing off a rough early look at Jason and Lucia robbing stores. While they slowed down, the leaks haven’t been completely plugged.
Back in August, Cyberleek managed to show off a whole host of gameplay footage too, with Rockstar calling the leaks “heartbreaking” and “unfortunate,” but not reflective of the final product.
Well, with just a few months to go, 200 GB of source code from GTA 5 has now surfaced, with a low-quality 3D look at parts of the new map, as well as an updated version of Liberty City.

That’s right, the leaks hit the internet in the early hours of September 18, with low-quality renders of the new map.
Visible in these screenshots are the international airport in Leonida, a sports stadium, docks and cruise terminal, as well as downtown Vice City. Now, these screenshots are such low quality that the buildings just look like blank rectangles, but you are able to start placing locations based off newer videos.
Additionally, these screenshots are said to be from between 2020 and 2022, meaning the map will have been updated in plenty of ways since then.

Updated Liberty City leaked
As noted, an updated Liberty City has also surfaced in this leak, with many noting that it was planned for GTA Online originally. However, it was ultimately cut and there have now been suggestion that it could used in GTA 6 as a DLC.
YouTuber TJGM added that the expansion of the iconic map is “pretty massive,” with there also being a file with the name of “new terrain.”
On top of that, vehicles cut from GTA 5, as well as discarded DLC around Trevor, have also surfaced in these leaks.
The Trevor-focused DLC has been spoken about in the past, with parts of it eventually being used in GTA Online’s Doomsday Heist.
Rockstar has not commented on the leaks, and likely won’t.
