A series of attacks in northern al-Quds and Tel Aviv on Sunday left several Israeli soldiers dead and dozens injured, prompting statements from Palestinian factions praising the operations as acts of resistance against Israeli military actions.

On Sunday, Israeli media reported a shooting attack at the Hizma checkpoint in northern al-Quds, following a truck-ramming attack near the Mossad intelligence agency's headquarters at a bus stop in the Glilot area, north of Tel Aviv.

According to the Israeli army radio, a gunman attempted to carry out the operation at the checkpoint, prompting Israeli security forces to open fire.

Reports indicate that the individual was killed at the scene, and two Israelis were injured during the incident.

The first attack resulted in the deaths of six Israeli soldiers, with at least 50 more injured, 15 of whom are in critical condition.

Palestinian groups, including Islamic Jihad, praised the Tel Aviv attack, calling it a response to recent Israeli aggression in Gaza and the West Bank.

In a statement, Islamic Jihad described the attack as "heroic" and highlighted that it targeted members of Israel's Unit 8200, a military intelligence unit.

“The operation is a natural reaction to the brutal aggressions and massacres of the occupying forces against our people, particularly in northern Gaza,” the statement read.

The group also emphasized that resistance efforts across the West Bank, Gaza, southern Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq would continue, reaffirming that they retain the initiative against the occupation.

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine also reacted to the Tel Aviv attack, noting that the operation reflects growing anger among Palestinians in response to Israeli policies.

“The heroic operation in Tel Aviv is a natural response to the crimes of genocide and aggression carried out by the Zionist regime,” the group’s statement said.

Reports from the scene of the truck attack suggest that Israeli security forces shot and killed the driver at the site.

Hebrew media outlets noted that some people remain trapped under the truck, with expectations that the casualty count may rise.

The Palestinian Resistance Committees released a statement, calling the attack in Tel Aviv a severe blow to Israel’s security apparatus.

“This operation exposes the weakness of the Zionist regime and sends a message to the settlers that the illusion of victory promised by the regime's prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu is nothing but a mirage,” the statement said.

The committees also criticized Israeli leaders for misleading settlers with "imaginary achievements," warning that they are leading them toward disaster.

This surge in violence follows rising tensions amid the ongoing military onslaught by the Israeli regime, with Palestinian factions signaling continued resistance.
