Halo: Campaign Evolved rebuilds Master Chief’s first adventure from the ground up with modern visuals, refined gameplay, rebuilt cinematics, and remastered audio.
It also brings back one of Halo’s most beloved traditions: playing through the campaign side by side with someone on the couch.
The entire campaign supports two-player split-screen co-op on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. All you need is a second controller, and a friend can join you for the full adventure without needing their own copy of the game.
Halo is better with another Spartan by your side
Halo: Campaign Evolved is still an atmospheric adventure when played solo, but co-op gives the campaign an entirely different energy.
Every encounter becomes a shared problem to solve. You might coordinate a perfectly timed attack, divide up the weapons and vehicles, or watch the plan immediately fall apart when someone flips the Warthog, throws a questionable grenade, or charges into a fight they cannot win.
Halo StudiosSkulls and the new Campaign Remix feature give players even more ways to change each playthrough. They can alter the difficulty, introduce unusual gameplay effects, remix the active Skulls, and even let you experience the campaign from a third-person perspective.
For the first time, PlayStation players can experience Halo’s campaign and its split-screen co-op, joining a friend on the same screen as they discover the ringworld, battle the Covenant, and uncover its secrets together.
The full campaign also supports up to four-player online co-op, with crossplay across Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.
Halo: Campaign Evolved launches on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC on July 28. Players who purchase the Premium Edition can begin playing five days early on July 23.
