The entry into Jabaliya [Jabalia] is intended to prevent Hamas from recovering and rebuilding its power • One of the main targets: a hospital where the terrorist organization established a headquarters, concentrated hundreds of terrorists and IDF • The operation there has ended, but the fighting in the area is expected to continue for several weeks • 16 martyrs have fallen in the past month in the north the strip.

About a month has passed since the IDF entered Jabaliya. Division 162 forces continue to operate in the area, and only in the last day (Wednesday) have they killed dozens of terrorists through airstrikes and in face-to-face battles. It is estimated that the fighting will continue for a few more weeks.
The raid on Jabalia was aimed at curbing Hamas' attempts to recover. In the "Kamal Adwan" hospital in Beit Lahaya, north of Jabaliya, the terrorist organization established a sort of central headquarters, from where it hoped to begin strengthening its military framework and rehabilitate itself.
Hundreds of terrorists from the entire northern region of the Gaza Strip arrived at the hospital and its surroundings - they took over humanitarian aid that was delivered to the area and also established terrorist infrastructure there. Among them is a stockpile of weapons, including dozens of Kalashnikov rifles, anti-tank rockets, radios and other military equipment.
Before the entry of the forces, the IDF allowed civilians to leave the hospital and hundreds were evacuated. In addition to weapons in the operation, terrorist funds and Hamas documents were also located.
In the documentation released by the IDF from the investigation of an ambulance driver, he told about what was happening at the hospital: "Hamas' military operatives are present - in the courtyards, at the gates of the buildings and in the offices. They operate ambulances to transport wounded operatives and their missions, instead of for the benefit of the citizens."
At the same time as the operational activity, and in order to maintain the vital structures and the patients in the hospital, in coordination with the coordination directorate and the link to Gaza in the Palestinian Authority, coordinations were carried out which included the activation of the additional generator in the hospital to supply electricity and oxygen regularly to the patients.
Since the beginning of the IDF's renewed entry into the northern Gaza Strip, 16 fighters have been killed. Yesterday, the names of four soldiers of the Multidimensional Unit who were killed by an explosive device in Jabaliya were released - Capt. Yonatan (Johnny) Kern, Sgt. Nisim Mittal, Sgt. Aviv Gilboa and Sergeant Noor Haimov.
The mass evacuation from Jabaliya.
For weeks, many residents of Jabaliya refused to evacuate, but after the elimination of Sinwar, a change occurred. Thousands of residents were recorded packing their belongings and leaving their homes. Some of them evacuated to the tent complexes in the humanitarian zone in the south of the Gaza Strip and others stayed in the north, for example in Gaza City.
The IDF explained the change by saying that the "barrier of fear" of the hard core of the residents in Jabaliya was cracked. Some, the army claims, refused to evacuate because Hamas threatened to harm anyone who did so. Others were apparently afraid of the conditions and overcrowding in the tent camps.
