Here are all the games enhanced by the PS5 Pro

Sony finally confirmed the PS5 Pro, and in addition to enhanced features like Wi-Fi 7 and 8K gaming, the company has been sharing how recent and older games will perform on the system. As of September 25th, it’s revealed 25 different PS5 games that developers are specifically enhancing for the new console — here’s our hands-on with 11 of them.

The PS5 Pro may also “stabilize or improve the performance of supported PS4 and PS5 games” with a feature called Game Boost, and the Pro’s “enhanced image quality” could possibly improve the resolution for certain PS4 games.

Here’s a non-comprehensive list of games that will receive patches to take advantage of the Pro’s graphical and performance features, and what we know about those changes so far. The games that will get PS5 Pro enhancements will include:

  • Gran Turismo 7: Four modes: prioritize ray tracing, prioritize frame rate, 8K mode, 120Hz 4K mode
  • Hogwarts Legacy: Fidelity mode, 30fps fidelity + ray tracing with new ray traced shadows, performance mode.
  • Horizon Forbidden West: 4K60 mode with “improvement to shadows, depth-of-field, skin and hair shaders, clouds, god rays and so much more.”
  • Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered: “a range of graphical features that have been improved to make use of the power of the PS5 Pro, while also delivering ultra-high fidelity at blazing fast framerates.”
  • Marvel’s Spider-Man, Miles Morales, and Spider-Man 2: 4K60 mode with ray tracing
  • Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater: Improved framerates “throughout the entire game,” “more vivid” jungle terrain.
  • Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart: 4K60 mode with ray tracing
  • Resident Evil 4: Higher framerate, “ultra-high-resolution technology”
  • Resident Evil Village: 120fps mode, “ultra-high-resolution technology”
  • Rise of the Ronin: “greater graphical detail” and “high framerate”
  • Star Wars Jedi: Survivor: “Highest-ever console resolution” 4K quality mode, 60fps performance mode at higher resolution with ray traced reflections and ambient occlusion
  • Stellar Blade: 4K mode “at 50fps or more,” 120Hz mode at 80fps, “improvement in grain and detail”
  • The Crew Motorfest: 4K60 mode with higher internal resolution, more objects on screen
  • The First Descendant: “More lifelike and natural lighting and shadow effects” for ray tracing, working on higher framerate FSR 3.1 mode
  • The Last of Us Part I: 4K60 mode based on 1440p render resolution, will retain native 4K30 and 1440p 60 modes as well
  • The Last of Us Part II Remastered: 4K60 mode based on 1440p render resolution, will retain native 4K30 and 1440p 60 modes as well

We don’t yet know how games not optimized for the Pro will look on the system. In an interview with CNET, Sony said that around 40 to 50 games will receive the PS5 Pro update patch when the system launches in November.
