FORT WORTH, Texas — Fort Worth ISD will have to pay more than $500,000 to buy out outgoing Superintendent Dr. Angelica Ramsey.

The board voted 8-1 to accept Ramsey's resignation on Sept. 24, and her resignation went into effect Tuesday. As a part of the resignation agreement between Ramsey and the district, Fort Worth ISD will pay her two installments of $247,961.58, the first of which will be paid out this week.

Thank you very much and God bless you.

The whole golden parachute is worth more than $900,000, while property taxes are through the roof.

How many mouths could be fed with $900,000.

Schools and hospitals, and other top admins have such plans in place. It should be that they can be fired at will, just like their employees, and out the door with the last paycheck. This is criminal band of thieves on both ends.

It is not just public sector jobs, plenty of private companies have these type of arrangements as well.

I learned our school district has 3 teachers “not in the classroom” for various dispute/discipline reasons - but they are all being paid, of course, because they are teachers union members.

One of the suspended teachers I know - he loudly criticized the idiot school superintendent because of a botched “shooter emergency” drill, which took place unknown to teachers, and had students panicking, jumping from windows, etc...

public education is a bloated CF of union control, bloated bureaucracy, and left-wing politics

You will never have the students where they need to be as long as the majority of the student population are “minority” students. Education people dare not say such things, but it’s the truth. I’ve been in an inner city district for a long while, when I started, we have a majority of our campus as recognized and above. As the white flight kicked in, test scores dropped, performance dropped, attendance dropped and violence increased. Facts can’t be racist, sorry, deal with it.

Liberal female run school, liberal female run town, see the issue? Ft. Worth used to be a bastion of conservatism. It is now just Dallas-Lite. Liberalism poison every thing and is a growing cancer.

We here in Hillsborough County, FL also have a female-dominated school board (five out of six members) which just rammed through a ballot initiative to raise the salaries of 15,162 teachers by $6,000 per year, for the next four years. All on the backs of the property tax-paying home owners. So guess what. All of Hillsborough County’s 1,530,000 residents get to vote to stick this gravy train right onto the backs of the 600,000 Hillsborough County home owners who are already shelling out massive tax payments for bothg state and local education-based expenses.

But we’re all told: “It’s for the children!”
