Hezbollah fired some 30 rockets at northern Israel, the military said following the sirens that sounded in the area on Tuesday.
Firefighters of the Fire and Rescue Authority were operating to extinguish fires that erupted following impacts in the area, the IDF noted.
The military also stated Israel Air Force jets had struck Hezbollah launchers that had been directed at Israeli territory, buildings in which weapons had been stored, and military infrastructure.
