Hilaria Baldwin thinks Andy Cohen should be paying his babysitters more after he revealed the “cheap” amount he dishes out for childcare.
While exclusively chatting with Page Six at the “Virtual Reali-Tea” Awards, sponsored by Tri-State Cadillac, CoverGirl, Philo and Kahlúa, in New York City Tuesday night, the mom of seven weighed in on the great debate.
“I feel like that’s probably standard,” Hilaria, 42, told us at first, referencing Cohen’s recent admission that he only pays his babysitters $30 an hour to watch his two children, Ben, 7, and Lucy, 4.
However, she noted that “Alec is Alec,” implying that her husband, actor Alec Baldwin, 68, offers a more generous salary for their help.
“Andy’s babysitters, I don’t want to cause problems, but come on over,” Hilaria joked.
Cohen first shared how much he pays his babysitters while chatting with Jeff Lewis during a recent taping of “Andy Cohen Live.”
Want to watch from home? Philo is the exclusive streaming partner for the 2026 VRT Awards, and the only place you’ll find the full show this year. The best part? It’s free to watch on Philo’s ad-supported platform starting Oct. 9. Plus, you can catch up on last year’s awards now on Philo.com/VRTs.
Upon learning that Cohen pays his babysitters $30 an hour to watch his two kids, Lewis called him “cheap,” insisting that someone with his kind of money should be paying more.
The “Still Flipping Out” star said he pays his babysitters $37 an hour to watch his daughter, Monroe, 9, whom he shares with his ex, Gage Edward.
Cohen later doubled down on his pay, telling Page Six at the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame red carpet that he “checked with [his] friends,” and their prices were comparable.
Hilaria and Alec, on the other hand, have a much busier home to keep under control.
The couple, who wed in 2012, share seven children: daughter Carmen, 13, sons Rafael, 11, Leonardo, 10, Romeo, 8, and Eduardo, 6, and daughters Lucía, 5, and Ilaria, 4.
Hilaria — whom Cohen has approached about joining “The Real Housewives of New York City” in the past — said her family is in an “interesting place” because the kids are “growing up” and “don’t need as much” help.
Still, she urged Cohen to “pick it up” when it comes to his babysitter salary.
“Andy, let’s talk,” she said into the camera.
