Historic federal indictment against Mayor Adams claims he took $10M in illegal donations, free luxury travel, ritzy perks

Mayor Eric Adams has been indicted on charges he allegedly took $10 million in illegal campaign contributions and bribes — including free flights and ritzy perks — from foreign nationals in exchange for favors, according to a bombshell federal indictment unsealed by Manhattan prosecutors Thursday.
***
“In 2014, Eric Adams, the defendant, became Brooklyn Borough President. Thereafter, for nearly a decade, Adams sought and accepted improper valuable benefits, such as luxury international travel, including from wealthy foreign businesspeople and at least one Turkish government official seeking to gain influence over him,” the 57-page indictment charges.
“As Adams’s prominence and power grew, his foreign-national benefactors sought to cash in on their corrupt relationships with him, particularly when, in 2021, it became clear that Adams would become New York City’s mayor,” ***
“Adams agreed, providing favorable treatment in exchange for the illicit benefits he received.”
*** Prior to the indictment coming down, sources had revealed the charges were likely connected to allegations the Turkish government had illegally funneled money into Adams’ mayoral campaign in exchange for approval of the Turkish consulate in Manhattan.
“Eric Adams the defendant, sought and accepted illegal campaign contributions in the form of “nominee” or “straw” contributions, meaning that the true contributors conveyed their money through nominal donors, who falsely certified they were contributing their own money,” the indictment states.
“By smuggling their contributions to Adams through U.S.-based straw donors, Adams’s overseas contributors defeated federal laws that serve to prevent foreign influence on U.S. elections.” *** He also claimed he was being targeted for criticizing the Harris-Biden administration over its handling of the migrant crisis that’s wrecked the Big Apple.***

Is it too late for Eric Adams to legally change his last name to Biden?

Surprise, surprise, surprise....this is what the US gets everywhere we have “affirmative action” leadership. Keep this up and we’ll be competitive with Rhodesia, Niger, Angola, and South Africa. Meanwhile we whiteys will be put in concentration camps. Wake up people! The majority of them wish us dead; not all of them but the majority of them on the right side of the Bell Curve do. Criticize me for generalities but I’ve worked a riot with them and it is quite evident.

It’s not that he took any illegal donations, it’s who he took them from.
