An 83-year-old Holocaust survivor was 'stabbed to death' outside her nursing home in Israel today.
Ludmila Lipovsky was attacked while waiting for her daughter to pick her up to take her to a medical appointment in the city of Herzliya on the outskirts of Tel Aviv on Friday morning.
Her attacker was allegedly former Shin Bet informant turned Palestinian terrorist Ibrahim Shalhoub, who is from the West Bank city of Tulkarem.
Ms Lipovsky was treated by the Israeli emergency service Magen David Adom before being rushed to hospital, where she was sadly pronounced dead.
Shalhoub had previously been detained on three occasions, most recently from June 2023 to June 2024, the Jewish Chronicle reported.
The attack in De Shalit Square occurred on the second day of the Jewish festival of Hanukkah.

An unnamed staff member at Ms Lipovsky's nursing home told the Times of Israel that she heard 'screams' as the elderly lady was stabbed 'five or six times'.
She said: 'She [Ms Lipovsky] went out and waited for her daughter to take her to the doctor and the terrorist started stabbing her, five or six times.
'She has been a resident of the nursing home here for many years. I heard screams, I went out and saw her lying on the floor.'
Israel Police said in a statement: 'Emergency police dispatch received a call of a stabbing terror attack in a shopping center in Herzliya.
'A 28-year-old terrorist from Judea and Samaria arrived here armed with a knife and began stabbing individuals.
'According to medical sources, one of those victims was a woman who was here enjoying her morning, preparing for the holiday, preparing for Shabbat, when this suspect began stabbing her.'
The force confirmed that the suspect was shot before being arrested, and a large police presence remained on the scene.

In an statement on X, the Israeli Foreign Ministry said: 'Heartbreaking news. This morning, Ludmila Lipovsky (83) was stabbed to death by a Palestinian terrorist in Herzliya. Our hearts are with her family. May her memory be a blessing.'
Yaki Lopez, a diplomat in the Ministry said Ms Lipovsky has been 'brutally butchered' while walking on the street.
He said: 'She was someone’s mother, grandmother, friend. A life stolen in a despicable act of hatred. Israel mourns her loss and stands united against terror. Evil like this will never break us.'
