A 67-year-old man and his 65-year-old girlfriend have been arrested for allegedly leaving an illegal worker on the side of a road, who was later confirmed dead in hospital.

The worker was found on the ground on Cheung Sha Wan Road near Nam Cheong Street in Sham Shui Po at 1.25pm on Tuesday.

He was taken to Kwong Wah Hospital in Yau Ma Tei, where he was confirmed dead at 2.10pm.

Police later found a light goods van on nearby Yu Chau Street, which the worker was believed to have been in earlier.
