Hong Kong will host a choral performance featuring an award-winning choir and singer Cally Kwong Mei-wan, and a drone show, as part of a series of events to celebrate coming National Day.

Senior Mixed Voice Choir, which recently won two gold medals at an international festival in July, will be among 1,000 students and young people set to sing patriotic songs.

The Next Generation Chorus Performance organised by the Tourism Commission will take place on the eve of National Day at 8.30pm on Monday at Art Park in the West Kowloon Cultural District.

A show featuring 2,099 drones will also take place to mark the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the People’s Republic of China. The number of drones is the sum of “75” and “2024”.

Students and youth groups will sing “Standing UP”, “Growing Prosperous”, and “Becoming Strong”, among other songs. Singer turned politician Kwong will perform the patriotic education theme song “Our Home”.
