An 18-year-old Texas student was killed after being stabbed multiple times by a classmate.

Darrin Loving was attacked with a kitchen knife and left with severe injuries at Manor Senior High School on October 29 at around 12.47pm.

Despite extensive resuscitation efforts, the Austin-Travis County EMS could not save Loving and he died at the scene about an hour later.

Deputies from the Manor Police Department have since arrested Mac Brown Mbah Mbanwei, 18, who is another student at the school as a suspect and charged him with murder with no bond.

The suspect had allegedly used a 'large knife' during an altercation to stab Loving in the chest for unclear reasons.

Sargent Mary Eaton, Criminal Investigations Division, Manor PD told Fox7 Austin: 'There was a student with multiple stab wounds who was being worked on by emergency medical services.

'Shortly after that, we were notified that the student had succumbed to his injuries.

'What we do know is it was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public or the students at the school'.

According to CBS, Sierra Smith, the victim's sister revealed that Loving was a special needs student who was nearly non-verbal.

Parents and other students have since expressed their sorrow and remembered the young teenager.

One unnamed student said they had known Loving for some time and it 'hurt a lot to see him go'.

'I feel sad. It's just a lot to take in. I've known him two to three years. It hurts a lot to see him go away like that over just some fights', they told KUVE

Other students also revealed that a video of the stabbing and aftermath was sent around school, which left many traumatized including ninth-grader Jayden Albequerque.

'One of my friends told me that there was a murder, and I didn't believe it until they showed me a video of what happened. And that's where I got traumatized. And I just, like, hid in the corner.

'It was just like the guy dead on the floor with blood everywhere on the floor.

'I'm traumatized. I don't know what to say. After I saw the video, I didn't want to see it again,' Albequerque told FOX7.

State Rep. Sheryl Cole, who represents Texas House District 46 where the school is located wrote on X: 'My heart breaks for the victim and my thoughts are with the victim's family during this unimaginable tragedy'.
